• Hiring/building our first team of designers outside of San Francisco while maintaining strong connection to our SF office.

• Helping grow our product development team in Denver (Engineering, Product and Design) and establish the culture of cross-functional collaboration

• Leading product design in Gusto's Denver office, focused on Accountants & Partners.

• Led design across Gusto's Benefits product for small-to-medium businesses (including Health, FSA, 401k, perks, etc.); designed and built this core product from the ground up (launched in 2014) and managed a team of 2 other designers.

• Responsible for scaling the Design team: Growing the team from 2 to 18+ designers

• End-to-end design: Conceptualize, design, test and build (HTML, CSS, React) product experiences that help employers and employees of small-to-medium businesses and make customers smile along the way.

• Working closely with Product and Engineering in a fast-pasted startup environment to design and build core products and application features, including launching our Worker's Compensation product.

• Responsible for defining the visual language and brand of the company (formerly ZenPayroll) and completely rearchitected, redesigned and rebuilt the marketing website from scratch.

• Worked closely with Marketing teams to design and build landing pages and email campaigns.

• Design a product that processes billions of dollars in payroll and manages company benefits.

• Understand customer pain points, come up with solutions, and then prototype, iterate, and launch frequently.

• Joined the company as the 2nd designer and 20th employee, scaling with the company as we've grown to 800+ employees.

Projects include full website design and development from inception to launch, maintenance and development of wordpress sites on existing themes, logo design, branding, graphic design and more.
