Building developer tooling and libraries for other software developers! I lead workshops, speak, and travel across the world to educate and train other engineers on how to approach building modern mobile apps with (or without!) Ionic.
Special interest in Stencil.js and cross-compilation between frontend frameworks.

Led the recovery of the maliciously deleted Faker.js (6.6M+ downloads/month) and formed a community-controlled team alongside 7 other developers from across the world.
Due to the media attention received by the project, I managed the community support and backlash we received in various forms. In response, I wrote an announcement post to communicate the leadership change that wound up in the #1 spot on HackerNews.
I also garnered buy-in and support from community leaders throughout the tech community (cross-language). I collaborated with Open Collective leadership directly to plan a cut-over of funding from the malicious author to the new team. I also secured funding ($10k+ USD) for the project from Indeed.
I managed the library's community and social media presence, built the docs site, and drove the new library's adoption.
Additionally as a team member, I participated in roadmapping and the technical vision of the project. All of this allowed the rest of the team to focus on coding.

During the day, I lead the development of the frontend component library "Anodyne", mentor, pair, teach, and unblock individual contributors across 4 product teams. Additionally, I partner with non-technical stakeholders to ensure the frontend is best positioned to empower product objectives.
I've also championed and implemented the creation of frontend guilds at PathAI, including their representation in OKRs.
In an effort to improve overall velocity and quality, we've addressed technical debt across the 6 primary repositories developers work in, including implementation of modern build tooling, testing practices, and a state management library.

I led the re-design and re-architecture of the Cypress app by working closely with the founder and acting in a product-owner capacity for Cypress - a developer tools product. I also managed a group of 5 Senior Engineers and worked cross-functionally with DX and Marketing to position and launch a new product.
During my day-to-day, I was also responsible for the development of the Cypress.io Test Runner, with a focus on component testing, and DX for emerging Open Source technologies.
