• Hired as the first engineer

• Architected Jetty's backend systems and delivered our go-to-market product from conception to launch in 6 months, through seed funding (led by Ribbit) and Series A (led by Valar) and Series B (led by Khosla)

• Designed and implemented a performant / scalable underwriting engine for computing insurance prices in milliseconds

• Designed and implemented Jetty’s foundational private AWS networking infrastructure, VPN, bastion-2FA, high-availability that satisfies regulatory / SOC compliance requirements

• Key decision maker in recruiting processes and org design (defined responsibilities, processes, and roles for the Engineering team; recruited key hires, accountability structures, and set precedence for cultural norms)

• Hired as the first engineer to work with the founder / CEO and our leadership team of health care experts to architect initial systems with HIPPA compliance

• Led product development and engineering from seed funding through Series A (Oak Capital) and Series B (Google Ventures)

• Continued to play a hybrid role in coding and managing the platform technology team (recruiting, project managing)

• Oversaw the engineering team as it quickly grew from 1 to over 20 (and the company to around 200 employees)
