Was highly involved with improving insurance offerings including in the field of Smart Home integrations. Worked on customer facing applications to allow customers to get relevant and precise information about how to care for their home. Connected to many different third party applications including Hubspot, Chargebee and Salesforce.

Worked to improve quality of technology used to serve guests, both by improving our customer service applications as well as by improving our guest facing applications. As part of this Rails MVC and GraphQL endpoints were improved and constructed.

Software developer working on maintaining all parts of the backend platform as well as new application development related to platform health and monitoring. Also helping with developing the ETL system.

I was the primary maintenance and new feature developer for one of the core internal applications using a combination of Java and Groovy for the backend and a single dom heavy jquery frontend. I was also one of the primary developers of multiple new core applications using python for the backend. We used basic webpy as well as flask and both raw jquery and AngularJS for the front end. I also worked on using kafka and storm for large scale data processing.
