At NYU, I worked developing algorithms and systems for different visualization techniques on massive and non-trivial amounts of data. These visualizations aimed to facilitate understanding the considerable number of spread data between various sources and formats for a specific target audience, such as domain experts or the general public. An important project in this area is the OpenSpace project (https://www.openspaceproject.com). In the OpenSpace project, I developed and used cutting-edge computer graphics techniques to display and simulate the visible universe's data using modern graphics hardware.

Other projects included developing plot techniques for climate data analysis (https://uvcdat.llnl.gov), an Augmented Reality application for real-time visualization, and statistical data calculation from professional baseball plays. I also co-taught computer graphics courses for graduate students.

When at Modelo, I focused my work on two main areas: the development and implementation of new algorithms and software for visualizations of huge geometric models of Earth's crust; and the development of geometry processing techniques for editing these types of models. The models were typically non-manifold meshes.

While a graduate student, I worked on a variety of research projects in the areas of scientific visualization, geometric processing, data analysis, and provenance/reproducibility.

Before joining Modelo full time, I was a summer research intern at the company. During that time, I developed geometric processing methods applied to geological models of oil reservoirs.
