I work on the System Excellence team in the newly formed UX Foundations group at NYT. Our team is focused on supporting the overall user experience of The New York Times across all our digital surfaces (including web and native mobile apps), as well as the developer experience of our feature teams. This dual mandate allows me to push for not just refinements in these areas, but systemic improvements to how we work and how our readers experience NYTimes journalism.

I work with producers and designers to plan, create, and build industry-leading web content for The New York Times and our clients at T Brand Studio.

I was employed in December 2014 to produce motion graphic stories for Greenwave Systems' International CES 2015 exhibit. During this collaboration, along with my team member Alma Emadi, we sketched, prototyped, and produced high quality motion graphics to tell the stories of a product's multiple components, as well as how they all fit together in an integrated IoT ecosystem. During this project, we produced over 50 high quality videos that included descriptions, animated system diagrams, and the component's position in the company's IoT ecosystem. We used Paper, Pencil, Keynote, and Apple Motion throughout the course of this work. Due to the high success of our work, we are now continuing our project to produce additional videos for the company.

Worked with CTO and engineering team to build a mission-critical production web application from design concept to implementation. Also assisted members of the engineering team with their own feature additions to the application, developed integration tests, and led several refactorings to improve performance and maintainability.
