In my dynamic role within Northeastern's Academic Technology Services department, I enhance the educational experience for faculty and students through comprehensive support in instructional design. My key responsibilities include:
• Facilitating Canvas training for faculty and staff, equipping them with essential tools and knowledge for an enriched teaching and learning experience.
• Collaborating closely with Instructional Design Consultants to provide outstanding customer support for faculty and staff.
• Editing and maintaining crucial documentation to streamline processes and ensure clarity in guidance.
• Efficiently managing a queue of customer incidents and requests to guarantee timely resolutions and a seamless experience for end users.
In addition to these responsibilities, I have taken on an exciting Python-based project aimed at further improving course design on Canvas (educational technology interface). This project involves:
• Developing a Python-based automation tool to apply Cidilabs-based HTML enhancements for Canvas courses, improving visual presentation and structural organization.
• Implementing algorithms to enforce proper HTML heading order, identify and suggest alternatives for overwhelming media lists, and promote better course design.
This initiative not only streamlines course aesthetics and usability but also aligns with my passion for blending education with technology, contributing to the evolution of effective and engaging educational practices.
