Help lead the strategic and executional direction of the visual language, pattern library, and service experience of Beacon, Braze's Design System, as well as shared experience patterns like navigation. Serve as the primary ambassador of the system across the organization.

• Define requirements and systematize commonly needed components and patterns in the product

• Manage and document design guidelines and actively promote pattern consistency cross-functionally through design reviews, coaching, and enablement

• Work closely with engineers to create and maintain components with reusability and accessibility in mind

• Help drive product and brand unification by creating a consistent narrative through cohesive visual language and predictable patterns

• Develop standards and processes for system governance to ensure the efficiency and usability of the service and tools we provide

• Shepherd system contributions and adoption by closely supporting and partnering with Beacon stakeholders to help drive their efforts forward

• Define and manage design priorities for the team such as quarterly design roadmaps, and communicate expectations to UX leadership.

Dandelion is a clean energy startup that was originally incubated inside Google’s parent company, Alphabet. It offers residential geothermal heating and cooling by harvesting energy from the ground to regulate your home’s temperature

• Designed Dandelion’s web platform, Marketplace, from the ground up. Continuing to build, iterate and ship product features by working closely with sales, operations, engineers, and partner contractors.

• Revamped and unified Dandelion’s visual language and successfully launched their website and web app in June 2018.

• Conducted user research studies alongside Product Engineering by conceptualizing and then running in-person and online user testing sessions for feature ideation and usability studies.
