Led the design of innovative AML modules such as Alert Monitoring, Case Management, and Government Filings, while enhancing existing functionalities on the web platform. As the Principal Designer and sole designer at the company, collaborated closely with the C-suite, Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure seamless design and delivery. Initiated the development of the Kinectify design system in collaboration with lead front-end engineers, defining visual styles and components and adopting Storybook.

Owned the design and delivery of net new features and improving existing features in several modules across the web platform, mobile apps, and external apps, in collaboration with Product Management and Engineering. Kicked off the creation of the WorkBoard design system, including visual styles and components for reuse across the product.

• Contributed to the evolution of Akamai’s design system with updated visual design and behavior and the migration of components from Angular 1.x to Angular 2+ in partnership with Engineering.

• Identified and advocated for adoption of new design tools.

• Conducted user research and created storyboards and workflow diagrams based on findings.

• Redesigned the personalized “Home” experience, global navigation, and notifications of the Akamai Control Center (configuration portal containing 100+ applications used by both customers and internal solutions engineers), one of the largest changes in years.

• Led the design updates in porting high-priority applications to Angular platform. Worked with product managers and users to understand the workflows and redesign the UI with common components.

• Designed an in-house, modern design system, which was adopted across platform applications. Collaborated with distributed team of designers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop visual style and component library.

• Published and maintained internal design website which educated designers and developers on the design system and its usage guidelines.

• Provided design feedback to teammates, mentored newer designers in the team, and facilitated lunch-and-learns to share design knowledge.
