• Led frontend and backend development of several versions of Flatiron’s internal web application (in React JS and Python) that manages client subscriptions. To achieve these, I created entirely new user flows, refactored existing ones, conducted end-to-end testing as well as integration testing, wrote technical design documents, wrote new API endpoints, enhanced the information stored in the database, and added new search capabilities to the existing endpoints. This work allowed Flatiron to support 8x different types of subscriptions while reducing the load of maintain existing ones by 2x.
• Led backend development of automating the previously manual cleanup process of deleting data that Flatiron delivers to its clients, which reduced 12 hours of engineering work per year and eliminated the possibility of human error.
• Led frontend and backend development of several versions of Flatiron’s internal web application (in React JS and Python) that allows non-technical employees query our databases for sales purposes. To achieve these, I created entirely new user flows, migrated our systems from using Postgres to Snowflake, wrote new API endpoints, wrote SQL commands to query data, conducted unit and integration testing, and leveraged 3rd party systems for secret management. This work allowed us to retire Postgres from our systems which reduced company’s cost of maintaining data by 2x.
