What I did:
• Developed a tool that checks if any installed software in a server has CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) that are not yet addressed.
• Integrated an open sourced software to check if any IAM policies in internal AWS accounts have been violated.
• Automated a process to manage effort spent on penetration testing which surfaces better metrics to support team's KPIs.
• Set up workflow to transfer logs from 3rd party tools used internally to a SIEM tool, and create monitoring dashboard & alerting.
• Took ownership of incident response on issues reported from customers, internal teams & external reporters
• Evangelized security by rolling out an annual security training to the entire company and ensured everyone (from Associate to CEO) had completed it for meeting the compliance goal.
