What I did:

• Developed a tool that checks if any installed software in a server has CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) that are not yet addressed.

• Integrated an open sourced software to check if any IAM policies in internal AWS accounts have been violated.

• Automated a process to manage effort spent on penetration testing which surfaces better metrics to support team's KPIs.

• Set up workflow to transfer logs from 3rd party tools used internally to a SIEM tool, and create monitoring dashboard & alerting.

• Took ownership of incident response on issues reported from customers, internal teams & external reporters

• Evangelized security by rolling out an annual security training to the entire company and ensured everyone (from Associate to CEO) had completed it for meeting the compliance goal.

• Assessed security risk on a 3rd party tools that was being integrated by the business analytics team and suggested controls to put in place.

• Worked on the site engineering management team in the Products & Innovation Analytics unit

• Designed and developed 15+ analytical reports and dashboards tracking software development progress across various engineering teams in 5+ development sites

• Commended by managers for resolving data inconsistencies and coming up with creative workarounds to tool limitations, thereby satisfying stakeholders’ requirements and reporting needs

• Ensured successful roll-out of process changes by creating communications to engineering teams and updating project documentations (i.e. release timelines and training materials)

• Led a team of 3 supervisors and 150 high school volunteers for a 4-day public event (Chinese New Year celebration and achieved the lowest rate of volunteer dropout (6%) even though the number of volunteers doubled.
