• The Microsoft Edge browser was due for a systems thinking and framework development inlcuding, component structuring, spacing and layout. To kickoff the project, I collaborated with other team players, product manager and a UX Designer to conduct research and understand the needs, goals and current state of workflow. I identified gaps and opportunities related to inconsistency and inefficiency. I proposed the method of using base components for common components. This method empowers designers to apply change at-large fast and easy. We adopted this new method and applied it across all of the assets of the Edge UI Framework library on Figma. This new framework allowed all designers to iterate on designs twice as fast as before, increasing productivity, output and also saving the company useful resources.
• I developed a new and much improved framework for the edge browser, including a responsive and adaptive layout.
• I have collaborated with other designers and specialized UX researchers to understand user goals and needs.
• Also, I worked with developers and animators to garner insight into user-product-interaction.
• Managed and maintained the Figma asset library, including directory optimization.
• Utilized introductory HTML and CSS to meet development standards.
