Senior Capstone project at Olin College: Worked with engineers from QuantAQ to build and deploy cloud infrastructure for a distributed sensor network to monitor global air quality.

• Built and deployed calibration server using Flask and Docker Swarm to process incoming electrochemical sensor data in real-time.

• Identified trends and correlations in sensor data; created custom models in scikit-learn to increase accuracy in poor weather conditions.

• Determined metrics to more holistically evaluate performance.

Implemented prototype for 3D map creation and path planning to test an app that would help blind and visually impaired people navigate new spaces independently.

Co-founder of engineering consulting team for hardware startups. Developed and delivered alpha prototypes for clients; met with clients’ VCs as technical co-founders.

I worked on the Fuse 1, a brand new benchtop Selective Laser Sintering 3D Printer launching for a tenth of the price of current SLS systems. I worked with various parts of the system hardware and software to improve the process of printing on a Fuse 1.

Specifically, I helped rebuild laser calibration processes with fewer sensors and faster runtime, allowing much improved user interaction and system accuracy. I also worked on optimizing thermal properties of the build chamber, maximizing print bed uniformity during heat up/cool down cycles and minimizing complexity of the heating system.
