• Worked as part of a four-person technical team to design and build a new SaaS platform, which grew from 0 to 100 signed up users in my time there. Served as lead maintainer of the user-facing Next.js project.

• Collaborated with designers to implement two component libraries: one built with web components to share between our low-code marketing site and our Next.js app, and the other a React + Tailwind library to be used across in our SaaS front-end. Integrated Storybook and Chromatic into the development workflow for both libraries to more easily catch regressions and speed up validation cycle with stakeholders.

• Led development of a “universal app” leveraging Expo and Tamagui, allowing code to be written once and deployed for web, iOS, and Android.

• Implemented authentication and user management strategy using WorkOS in conjunction with user data stored in our PostgreSQL database.

• Interviewed, hired, and managed two junior engineers.

• Designed, built, and documented Django REST APIs in close collaboration with teams consuming them across multiple projects.

• Built a high-level React component library to be shared across all user-facing applications. Integrated Storybook for quicker testing and feedback iterations with designers and external stakeholders.

• Moved to Cologne, Germany to work as one of two Americans in a brand new technical division of the company. Adjusted quickly to the new language and culture and worked seamlessly with colleagues from all across Europe.

• Set up A/B testing and feature flagging using Firebase for our React Native project to speed up feature iterations.

• Implemented a dev/staging/production workflow to improve release stability and handled knowledge sharing with rest of the development team through written documentation and a team presentation.

• Rapidly got up to speed to help iterate on the core Buoy Assistant product, built as a React app with a Django back-end, to handle a surge in daily active users after a partnership with the city of Boston during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Successfully migrated authentication method and all user data from in-house solution to Auth0, helping to scale that part of the product and free up development bandwidth for other projects.

• Helped migrate old Salesforce application to React SPA to improve configurability.

• Automated NACHA file generation to funds settlement pipeline to save manual data entry effort and reduce user error.
