Team: Ecommerce Fulfillment Platform
• Led 5 engineers across 3 cross-functional teams in the Messenger integration project, which delivered all Square Online merchants’ order lifecycle status notifications via SMS and email. This saved $70k/monthly by deprecating Twilio pipeline in favor of the Square Messenger service.
• Served as a member of the New Engineer Onboarding(NEO) committee in 2021. Onboarded five new hires and presented Square Online site services ecosystem in a brown bag session for 40+ engineers.
Team: Ecommerce Web Platform
Founding engineering team member of a new ecommerce website editor Square Online. Square Online multiplied its total average weekly GPV from ~$7M prior to pandemic to ~$59M in Q1 of 2020.
• Launched the website platform as backend tech lead, implementing on 90% backend and 30% execution on frontend The platform supported creating, modifying, publishing, and rendering merchants' web storefront pages, hosting over 710k+ published square online stores in Q1 2021.
• Launched Site API that allowed for programmatic CRUD operation of merchants’ websites, as a tech lead and primary developer. This served 4 internal clients and unblocked the migration of 101k+ active customers’ existing storefront web pages to new Square Online sites. Over 1.7M legacy one-page stores were sunset after.
• Architectured and built an automated job handler that streamlined async bulk site modification. This prevented frontend hacks and improved dev velocity from days to under an hour for engineers while handling 710k+ published sites’ bulk modifications across 4.1M pages in Q1 2021.
• Introduced unit and E2E testing steps into deployment pipeline. This caught over 20+ regressions during the heavy deployment month in Q3 2020 (pre-holiday peak traffic) across four engineering product teams.

Core Web Team
Led multiple projects on this team, which is a web platform team in which other Weebly product teams can leverage for building features with. The core product was a web editor, which allowed end-users to create and edit a website interactively (drag-and-drop, etc) without the need to learn how to code.
• Led multiple WYSIWYG drag and drop website editor projects with six cross-functional partners. Weebly sustained average load of ~250M monthly traffic for ~30M customers and their published website in 2016
• Led 6 engineers from 3 eng teams, launching the stackable Sections feature in the Weebly 4 Launch. It was adopted by 83k published sites in 2017 and offered 100+ professional templates for customers to kickstart their website.
