Immediately after joining, I was tasked to work on Visual SQL, the easiest way to query data without SQL knowledge. Working very closely with CEO and PMs, we created a number of versions and completed hundreds of user tests to achieve a specific goal - 8 out of 10 business people are able to create a chart without any kind of outside assistance (even without in-app walkthroughs). The product successfully launched a year later, replacing the older UI and unlocking a truly self-served SaaS.

Other responsibilities as a single designer at the company:

* setting up company's first design system in Figma

* improving user onboarding

* engineering support

* brand visual refresh

* website redesign

I worked on defining the Formation design system for internal editorial applications that helped magazines publish content. Additional responsibility was to apply the design system to the existing experiences and test it with editors.

As part of making the editorial applications available for other companies, I designed the branding and marketing websites. By combining the new design system colors and the visual style of graphic designer Bradbury Thompson (Art Director of Mademoiselle in the 1950s, the magazine published by CN), I developed a unique style that was praised by internal stakeholders.
