Silicon Valley Internship Programme (SVIP) gives newly graduating Software Engineering Students the opportunity of working in a tech startup in the San Francisco Bay Area for a full year.

Development of iOS/Android mobile app using React Native for a startup - Food Safe System. This involved extensive coding in Javascript, database design, API development, language support and release management. Features were deployed to hundreds of clients including login/registration, customisable checklists, analytics, temperature probes and offline operations

Development of an Angular web app and RESTful Java backend as part of a small agile team. I worked on functionality across the whole codebase including AWS and the CI/CD pipelines.

Developed a planning poker swiftUI app for iOS/macOS. I was responsible for constructing the deployment pipeline to the app store using Fastlane.

As a demonstrator, I worked with level 1 software students in Queens University, Belfast. Each week the students would have a lab on the material that was taught that week. I was there to answer questions about the labs and explain anything that the students do not understand during their lectures.
