Worked with early-stage truck fleet management to develop product suite including traditional full-stack and AI/LLM features. Assisted with a drop-everything short-deadline migration from C# to NodeJS, infrastructure & operations, and prototyping and buliding new AI features, API integrations, and user-facing products.

Worked with a clinical trials startup to ideate, specify, and develop multiple MVPs, including a traditional web application, Chrome extension, and AI product. Assisted with navigating HIPAA compliance, matching product to market needs, and making fundamental technology decisions.

• Co-founded digital humanities knowledge graph project that has won two DGHAG grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities

• Upskilled on first-order logic systems, knowledge graphs, RDF, etc. to contribute to ontology creation and bridge gap between dedicated logician and domain experts

• Significant stakeholder and contributor to team process and and hiring decisions

• Completed multiple large semi-automated data cleaning efforts via human-in-the-loop method, saving domain experts hundreds of hours of manual work

• Became the sole SME on a business-critical system within first 6 months of tenure

• Led a newly-formed team to support the system, ensuring business continuity by training team members to maintain and improve the system

• Designed and led implementation on greenfield 2-way messaging integration

• Advocated for architecture changes, process improvements, and priorities across engineering org, including to management, SRE, architecture, and across software teams

• Designed flexible event-based system for responding to external webhooks

• Built architecture strategy for splitting up a monolith into a suite of microservices while keeping system complexity under control

• Introduced cultural initiatives including a tech talk series and dedicated R&D time

• Advocated for users and worked with product and design to build broad set of high-quality features in Haskell backend, Purescript frontend, backed by PostgreSQL

• Became productive in Haskell and Purescript with no prior functional programming experience

• Led working group to promote just culture and blameless postmortems
