Consumer Ministry:

• Outlined and designed consumer REST API to store patient data

• Cross team collaboration - led a team of 4 from inception/planning to release

• Followed agile methodologies from conducting scrum to sprint planning and roadmapping issues

• Tracked and communicated progress to stakeholders

• Initiated daily meetings with engineers to ensure we met the critical client commitment by addressing

their issues/road blockers which enabled us to stick to a tight deadline

CDH5 Migration:

• Migrated data from CDH4 (cloudera distribution hadoop) with a HBase backend to CDH5 with a MySQL

database as the backend for live clients without causing downtime

• Performed data cleanup and ensured minimum data loss

• Improved team productivity by creating troubleshooting documentation for support engineers and

downstream consumers

• Communicated with clients on the ongoing progress and potential impact on data/applications

• Minimized the impact on clients by prioritizing issues and led team to resolve issues post CDH5 migration

Engineering [2014 - 2015]

• Created and maintained Splunk dashboards to analyze and monitor the performance of Hadoop clusters

by establishing patterns to guide big data development teams to achieve consistency and greater

efficiency

• Involved in building ACDC (Anyone Can Deploy Coordinators) Java REST API to deploy

workflows/coordinators using Oozie and Chef to run Hadoop jobs

• Contributed to Kite open source project maintained by Cloudera
