Backend and MLOps engineering in support of a health data science platform. Worked with technical leadership to improve and refine system architectures and deliver working software.

Contributed to a variety of different R&D programs, applying expertise in both full-stack development and machine learning engineering and research. Improved transformer-based cross-genre model for authorship attribution. Created human-interpretable explanations of model behavior and ran pilot study to assess their usefulness.

• Developed a multi-modal information extraction system using LLM prompting and domain-specific models trained with Tensorflow.

• Wrote pipeline of job scheduling scripts for parallel execution of training and NLP tasks across a high performance compute cluster.

• Implemented features for an engineering UI in React, such as querying a MongoDB database to display graphical representations of logistics data

• Established a CI/CD pipeline with GitLab and Helm to deploy the engineering UI onto Kubernetes.

Researched method for explainable reinforcement learning using General Value Functions to understand and predict future agent behavior.
