• Managed the most critical and largest technical project within the department, with a project scale of approximately 50 person-years. Led a team with experts at a maximum rank of level 22 (>20 years work experience).
• Over the past year, successfully tackled several major challenges, ensuring smooth project delivery. The team was awarded the “Outstanding Team” title, a recognition granted to the top 10% of teams within Huawei.
• Key technical challenges addressed: development of routing protocols for satellite networks, deployment of application-aware networks (optimizing video call experiences on HarmonyOS smartphones and reducing remote control latency for autonomous driving), optimization of software-hardware integrated flow control mechanisms (PFC), exploration of distributed training/inference techniques for LLMs in widearea network scenarios, and traffic pattern learning and self-optimizing routing based on statistical learning.
• Served as a bridge for integrating foreign experts into domestic teams, coordinating joint research efforts between Huawei’s French and Russian teams in Beijing.
• Additionally responsible for managing external university technical collaboration projects. Recruited approximately 60 remote interns from Harbin Institute of Technology, established internship regulations, signed cooperation agreements with universities, regularly reviewed project progress, and organized industry-academia exchange activities.

• Led the team in resolving the OSPF neighbor keep-alive issue by applying distributed computing and parallelization concepts to router devices. Re-architected the software, significantly improving router performance, increasing the number of neighbors from X to 3X.
• Led the training and deployment of Huawei’s Copilot-like tool within our product line, conducting domain-specific model training and successfully applying it to network development, significantly enhancing development efficiency. Spearheaded the collection and cleaning
of SFT datasets and performed LoRA fine-tuning. Additionally, optimized inference performance, reducing code inference latency from 5 seconds to under 500ms—achieving a 10x improvement.
• Led the deployment of large-scale models directly in network communication devices at Huawei, enabling intelligent network automation, reducing operational complexity, accelerating fault localization and isolation, and enhancing network reliability. This technology was incorporated into China Mobile’s technical whitepaper, supporting our key customer in transitioning to the AI era.
• Applied Tarjan’s algorithm, queuing theory, combinatorics, and other mathematical techniques to optimize the core performance of network protocols, achieving over a 20x performance improvement. These optimizations enabled Huawei to surpass competitors in overall performance despite chip limitations.
• Briefed Ren Zhengfei three times.
• Served as Vice President of Huawei’s “Top Minds” peer group, organizing multiple cross-domain meetings.
• Delivered speeches at universities such as Peking University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, and Harbin Institute of Technology to drive talent acquisition and recruitment efforts. Represented Huawei at the ICPC World Finals in Egypt to attract top global talent. Also served as an
interviewer.
