Hyatt is one of the country’s leading hospitality brands specializing in unique guest experiences
by offering varying tiers of accommodations across 40+ brands. As a member of the design system team, I am responsible for ensuring each brand’s reusable components are consistent, compliant, guided by clear standards, and well documented.
» Utilizing semantic tokens and WCAG 2.2 accessibility compliance, I manage 30+ UI kits, including corporate, enterprise, and ancillary brands, several with multiple themes.
» Regularly engages with design and development teams across the organization to audit and ensure proper adoption of design system components and accessibility requirements.
» Performs technical writing duties for company-wide documentation site, release notes, and element updates, broadcasting those to distributed design and product teams.

» Led the team’s migration from Sketch to Figma. Researched best practices on restructuring our libraries for scale, migrated 15 UI kits, and added 23 new UI kits. Trained and onboarded entire design team on Figma, including design system features like variables, modes, and configurable component properties.
» Developed thorough component exploration process including research, design, documentation, and QA to ensure system worthiness and accessibility compliance, while increasing dev efficiency by 40%.

Solutionreach is a medical communications software company specializing in two-way texting and automated messaging for medical, dental and vision practices across the U.S. As a member of the product team, I was responsible for reimagining and modernizing the company’s communication, platform, and enterprise products for an improved user-experience.
» Developed robust design system, style guides, and development components that incorporate modern UI, that were used in the reskin and new design of company products.
» Established efficient team workflows by introducing a Sketch > InVision > Zeplin design to development handoff process.
» Regularly engaged with users to ensure relevance of product features, user-testing and research of new tools, and customer satisfaction across multiple apps.
» Working in an agile environment, I engaged with internal and offshore developers for product delivery and deployment.

By Light is a Virginia-based IT company specializing in cyber, security, data, and software products and services for government and military organizations. As a member of the User-Centered Design team working remotely, I am responsible for improving Veteran-facing digital products for an improved user-experience, as well as Veteran trust and loyalty with the VA.
» Redesigned the company’s customer-facing website.
» Integral in establishing UCD research and design process for all projects to be used by internal and external partner teams.
» Working in an agile environment, I engaged with cross-functional teams, including development, DevOps and DevSecOps for product delivery and deployment.
» Leveraged a variety of UX methodologies including user interviews, journey and affinity mapping, task analysis, user flows, wireframing, and prototyping, I regularly partnered with VA staff and Veterans to keep the design truly user-centric.
» Utilized VA Design System for consistency and accessibility-compliant interfaces to ensure the highest level of quality and usability for Veteran users.

As a member of the ecommerce team, I applied a product design approach in the research, design, and delivery of high-end web solutions for the company's Shopify-based D2C sites. Responsible for reimagining individual brand sites for improved customer experiences and increased sales conversions, I utilized the following processes:
» Audited existing sites and customer flows
» Researched and identified competitive product sites
» Developed robust design systems for consistency across pages that align with accessibility best practices
» Created wireframes in varying levels of fidelity for visual representation of interaction and layout
» Designed multiple device sizes for all deliverables to ensure accurate responsiveness

» Determined appropriate A/B design solutions for testing the highest level of usability among consumers
Working in an agile environment, I was constantly communicating with an internal and offshore development team to ensure they were clear on my design direction, have all of the necessary assets, and manually QA products before launch.
In addition to designing customer-facing sites, I was responsible for the product design of new internal sales tools and Shopify-based apps as determined by company stakeholders.
