• Architected the Cash Flow Forecaster Service from scratch; designed a DynamoDB schema storing cash flow scenarios data for small business owners; implemented a clean REST API for the Android, IOS and Web clients using Spring Boot.

• Grew the product user base to around 10k WAU, and 1 million requests per day, by leading the engineering team, working closely with product managers and designers, conducting customer interviews, and iterating on the prototypes.

• Presented Cashflow Planner app on the Money 20/20 FinTech Conference and the Quickbooks Connect Conference; created stories for new features based on advices collected from industry practitioners and small business owners.

• Reduced the query 99 percentile time for historical cash flow summary by 91% by optimizing the SQL query in Quickbooks legacy codebase, significantly improving the user experience of the homepage dashboard.

• Improved the user engagement by 0.9% by implementing a recurring transaction feature (similar to Google Calendar), allowing the customers to create monthly/weekly/daily recurring transactions, resolving the #1 pain point with the app.

• Developed an automatic sync/refresh mechanism to merge latest Quickbooks Online data changes with user data edits in the cashflow planner to keep cashflow scenarios updated and useful.

• Increased the Quickbooks payments merchant automatic approval rate by 1.1% by utilizing knowledge-based and phone-based identity verification in the payments onboarding flow, reducing manual workload on the risk analysis team.

• Improved the payments signup funnel at the bank section by 0.4% by integrating banking data across Quickbooks Online to enable users to sign up for payments with existing bank accounts in one click.
