• TL for Google Cloud Storage (GCS) Encryption Platform, leading and mentoring multiple engineers to deliver multi-year security initiatives that improved encryption across GCS, impacting more than 95% of customer data.

• Designed, implemented, and integrated C++ encryption libraries for protecting keys (in-transit and at-rest) and for high-throughput chunk encryption/decryption. Authored technical roadmaps, partnered with the Google-wide cryptography team, and proactively ensured zero impact to durability, availability and latency.

• Improved operational excellence by resolving cross-team rollout issues, creating diagnostic tools,

enhancing playbooks, and adding dashboards and alerts to accelerate issue detection and resolution.

• Owned Anduril’s data lake, which was an OLAP system for long-term production storage and analytics.

• Served as the point of contact for all customer engagements and drove roadmaps, OKRs, and project planning.

• Designed, implemented, and maintained high-throughput production data ingestion, ETL for custom data sources, file compaction, automated table/partition creation, schema repair, retention, and admin tooling. (Java, Go, Parquet, S3, Glue, Athena.)

• Created an offline data lake (Spark) used in air-gapped, resource-constrained environments.

• Developed the platform that served and rendered the Amazon homepage worldwide on all devices.

• Led mobile homepage platform migration from Perl to Java, which impacted over 1 billion weekly homepage requests, rendered content 5x faster below-the-fold, and reduced the above-the-fold latency by 5% for mobile app and 20% for mobile web. (Java/Spring, TypeScript, JavaScript.)

• Mentored a team of 6 former Perl/Mason engineers, 2 new engineers, and 1 intern.

• Improved reliability by building intelligent fallback behavior for service outages, an in-memory flight

recorder for debugging, and comprehensive performance, outage, and integration test suites (WireMock).
