• Successfully lead complex, multi-disciplinary, business-critical, cross-functional and high-revenue generating network projects/programs (i.e. zoom) from inception through close.
• As a result of leading these network projects/programs over the past 15+ months, Oracle Cloud capacity was increased by 40Tbps; supported by a 100M budget, which was precisely managed and maintained.
• Organized and lead cross-organizational technical and non-technical teams consolidating various global networks, providing circuit capacity savings of over $400K per month.
• Work with key stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, concisely communicate with cross-functional partnership and leadership all analysis, risks and recommendations.
• Successfully & routinely demonstrates the ability to manage large project/program development and cross-functional teams across multiple geographical locations in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term, critical capacity and infrastructure problems with engineering and key stakeholders.
• Responsible to increase network scaling velocity, efficiency and quality.
• Provide detailed analysis, guidance and support on various network engineering projects, including how to efficiently and productively integrate new hardware into the data centers.
• Drive internal and external process improvements spanning multiple teams and functions:
Piloted the establishment of network loose hardware add rack templates, which support faster scaling, removes timely and costly technical administrative overhead. Additionally, templates provide proactive and accurate hardware forecasting as well as space & power expansion planning.
• Manage quarterly budgets (excess of $50M), by monitoring expenditures, development of detailed project plans, analyzing forecast (network capacity and hardware supply chain) demand data and properly allocating resources.
2014 — 2015
2014 — 2015
Greater Denver Area
• Developed and implemented a highly productive and efficient Program Management Team, responsible for successful nationwide Fiber to the Tower (FTT) builds, FTT network upgrades and optimization, and supporting 24x7 Operations team. Communicated technical strategy and project plans throughout build and/or restoration activities
• Developed business cases, driven by modeling and forecasting.
• Exhibited excellent process and change management skills.
2010 — 2014
2010 — 2014
Littleton, Colorado
• Successfully planned, operationalized, deployed and migrated (within budget) CTLS #1 market to new primary core routers (PCore). This was a cross-organizational, matrix and resource constrained environment.
• Lead (from inception through deployment) 200 projects all within allotted budget requirements.
• Through utilization of network tooling, developed a system and process allowing individual planners the ability to manage transport and data capacity demand as well as budget requirements for any given market
• Successfully managed VLANs and data trunks (including load balancing).
• Responsible for all ISP PRISM/GPON/FCC/FTTTx/FCC deployments.
2006 — 2010
• Coordinated various network designs and development of reporting applications, while collaborating with technical support, management organizations, and engineering teams to ensure a solid and sustainable architectures were implemented. Selected projects include:
• Verizon Wireless (EoS): Successfully directed complete planning and implementation (within $3M budget) of complex network designs, within Colorado Local Transport network.
• First Office Applications (FOAs): Successfully lead and managed four critical and complex network FOAs:
• Tellabs 7100/ROADM - Designed and implemented critical 7100 equipment within Colorado Local Transport network that allowed successful connectivity to New Mexico, supporting AFOR Diversity to Farmington project. Exceeded project completion deliverables and completed under $3M budget.
• Tellabs 7100/ROADM SPFAB - Developed an intricate network plan to re-provision complex SONET and ROADM rings through Software Provisionable Switch Fabric (SPFAB.).
• Achieved increased network efficiencies with less equipment, increasing capital savings by average of 10% per route.
• Developed, managed, and upgraded technical documentation and process development for the entire Local Transport Organization ensuring proper implementation and provisioning of complex ROADM/DWDM technology.
