Supported several mixed Linux/Solaris production environments for high-impact internal systems in a Fortune 500 company including extensive monitoring and automation work.
As part of the Continual Service Improvement team worked on automation and process improvements across numerous supported client environments including a fully automated Oracle 10g to 11g upgrade process and automatic discovery of installed Oracle resources with no prior knowledge.
Extensive experience in introducing monitoring into legacy, undocumented, proprietary and otherwise opaque critical systems including both system-level breakfix through end-to-end synthetic transactions of SOA components with automated diagnosis and remediation actions in response to monitoring events.
Assorted small-project development work to support various business and technical objectives, e.g. data quality assurance checks for operational metadata, bulk-generation of monitoring configuration, data analysis of performance trends for high-water-mark detection, etc.
