• React Native and Ruby on Rails software engineer on the Meraki Go mobile team

• Researched, implemented, and presented solution for an over-the-air update deployment system for our Cisco Meraki Go mobile app. Work on this endeavor reduced turnaround time to deploy a hot fix from several days to less than an hour

Worked on developing a Salesforce platform for administrators to add and modify patient information and their protected health information. Platform required extensive testing of logic to ensure patient information falls within certain criteria with respect to the field itself and its relationship to other information.

Internship designed to gain an overview of the Ocient database system. Projects were written with big data usages in mind, with heavy emphasis on the utilization of C++ and parallelization. Testing frameworks and constant code reviews were also heavily leveraged to continuously integrate clean and functional code.

General Overview:

• Designed a parallel correctness suite capable of sorting and comparing millions of rows in query result sets.

• Created automatic C++ generation system to test Ocient operators for arbitrary queries.

• Wrote scripts to automate process of updating various versions of golden result sets in a repository when queries are updated.

• Added full test coverage for Ocient ODBC driver connection.

Development Operations oriented internship emphasizing independent projects and creative freedom. Projects dealt with designing and implementing ways to visualize and monitor throughput within Xaptum datacenters, as well as calculating various statistics for Internet-of-Things devices across Xaptum network.

General Overview:

• Implemented a highly-available cluster of machines for secret storage, such as maintaining user access for various systems using Hashicorp’s Consul and Vault.

• Completed an ELK stack framework used to monitor Xaptum’s datacenters, keeping track of uptime statistics and connection throughput.

• Wrote a Slack bot for Xaptum employees to be notified if certain time series statistics for their datacenters reach critical thresholds.

Led and worked on several internal projects. These projects were across multiple disciplines within the company, providing the opportunity to communicate technical subjects to those with diverse backgrounds.

General Overview:

• Designed relational database to organize information on available workflows.

• Created custom RESTful API for easier communication between front and back end code.

• Saved State Farm $388,000 in man hours through automating processes done in Windows System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM 2012) with Powershell.
