At Ezoic, I worked as part of a fully remote team to design and implement optimizations to the front and back-end systems that support the product platform. In addition, I was selected to design and build internal tools and dashboards using my skills in full-stack development and eye for pleasing UI/UX experiences when managing large datasets. Common tools that I used at Ezoic include Go, JavaScript, Node.js, Vue, PHP, AWS, Docker. SQL, Redshift, Linux/Bash, and OpenAI among others. Some of my accomplishments during my time at Ezoic include:
• Implemented strategic optimizations and enhancements into large-scale ad system handling 10-100 million web interactions daily
• Within two months, I designed a new interactive A/B testing data visualization interface, streamlining data monitoring. This project won Ezoic’s internal “Hackasaurus” award for its high-quality design.
• Quickly gained deep understanding of code base. Engineered high-stakes modifications and complete module rewrites that pushed into production without issue
• Developed proficiency with leveraging AI tools to enhance my skills and enable rapid development
• Effectively collaborated with a fully remote team, efficiently coding intricate systems, and proving flexibility and agility in a startup environment
• Implemented high-rate data tracking using Kinesis that stores and tracks billions of data points
• Built a Vue dashboard for Ads.txt data that used a complex association system allowing users to configure entries for a domain file with a pleasing UI

At the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District (KPBSD), I acted as a senior developer in charge of development work on most of the student data systems, as well as the developer that created new applications for controlling data and improving workflows. I worked with many tools at KPBSD, including JavaScript, Node.js, Typescript, PHP, .NET, C#, Angular, SQL, Docker, Azure, and RabbitMQ. Here are some of the responsibilities I carried at KPBSD:
• Engineered and maintained custom web-based applications using modern frameworks
• Acted as a database administrator, designing databases and managing data movement workflows
• Devised innovative solutions to complex data lifecycle and information management challenges using a wide range of tools
• Created form data ingestion system that allows staff to review form data in real time. This automated tedious workflows, instantly saving thousands of work hours
• Created node based microservice architecture vastly improving data movement delays, and making events happen instantly for end users

This role at KPBSD was focused on workflow optimization and student data management. I quickly outgrew this position, as I was working on advanced programming systems and had responsibilities well above my title before I was promoted to the senior position of Programmer/Analyst. Tools I used in this position include JavaScript, PHP, SQL, jQuery, HTML, and CSS. Some of my responsibilities in the Data Processing Programmer position included:
• Designed and implemented front and back-end modifications to SIS applications
• Created custom data tracking solutions for district needs, including analysis and visualization
• Facilitated state data reporting and other data request fulfillment
• Built a Medicaid data tracking system to completely streamline and automate the way Medicaid tracking was done for special education, resulting in over $1m in additional funding
