• Updated the logging system for YouTube’s video server in C++ so that problematic requests are more easily identifiable.

• Wrote software designs detailing how new information will be added to the logs transparently (to avoid cumbersome interface changes) and how this new information will persist across multiple threads.

• Created several new dashboards in Google’s internal business intelligence tool for visualizing quality of experience metrics from recent YouTube livestreams.

• Using TypeScript, updated widgets in the business intelligence tool to be more flexible in inputting and representing data.

• Wrote queries in SQL and Golang to gather and organize information from recent livestreams.

• Integrated multiple financial companies with Google’s services while working on the payments team.

• Wrote diagnostic tests, using Java, to verify that vendors and Google’s vendor integration platform can use PGP encryption to transmit information between endpoints and in order to prevent outages during PGP key rotations.

• Transitioned several vendors that were using legacy libraries to send request to using newer, more feature rich libraries.

• Designed documents that detailed various phases of the project, justification for changes to be made, and processes and considerations for launching the project.

• Participated in a Q&A panel for the Atlanta session of Google’s Computer Science Summer Institute.

• Worked on the search evaluation team to improve anomaly detection in The Home Depot's website.

• Used Pandas and Matplotlib to build a new anomaly detection tool employing Singular Spectrum Analysis that let users examine characteristics of search data in addition to detecting anomalies.

• Used BigQuery to generate univariate time series of various metrics to analyze using the new anomaly detection tool.

• Provided greater flexibility than what was provided by existing anomaly detection methods used by The Home Depot.
