Founded Buildsys, a construction productivity software for project managers and contractors. Buildsys focuses on huge efficiency gaps in the industry specifically focusing on information management and field-to-office communications. Buildsys facilitates secure access to all project information, digitizes processes and automates workflows.
Implemented and released 7 different modules for different sets of stakeholders and scenarios, that work standalone as well as an integrated solution.
Actively piloted key features with 2 construction management companies. Continuously deployed updates and changes based on qualitative feedback and usage patterns.
Collaborated with the product team in design development, user research, end-user interviews, user journeys and persona, informed design principles, MVP identification, HD wireframes, handover and test plans. Being part of the design process led me to have a more user centered approach to software design. It allowed me to resolve ambiguities and propose solutions from a user-first perspective.
Set up and managed an engineering team of 7. Implemented best practices for feature definition, task breakdown, sprint planning, code reviews and bug bashes.
Designed the entire software architecture and managed multiple codebases across the stack.
Set up the entire DevOps with automated check-in builds and releases to Azure, App Store and Google Play.
Mentored several college graduates that worked with our team as interns first, then joined as full-time employees. Continue to serve as their mentor as they move on to other places in their careers.
