Lead a Global Risk Product Organization of Product Managers , Risk Analysts and Engineers with a vision of building a best in class guarantee payments product for Trustly
Responsible for Partner Management for all the Risk vendors to support Device Fingerprinting , Identity data, Collections agency, Rules engine, etc
Lead the Operations Team to actively mitigate fraud and manage any merchant or vendor issues with risk strategies
Key Accomplishments
• Manage profit and loss for a $6M portfolio by enabling risk strategies for multiple customer
segments. Responsible for reporting metrics such as approval rate and collections, portfolio
margins and loss rate to leadership.
• Lead a team of over ten product managers and risk analysts spread across geographies with a
focus on building best-in-class guarantee payments solutions.
• Maintain profit margin while improving merchant approval rate up to 20% by building capabilities
that enable entity mapping , tracking user behavior, providing a limits framework and leveraging
banking data.
• Build and drive strategic product roadmap for risk platform resulting in a 3x growth in the Risk
Product , Operations and Engineering teams.
• Maintain compliance with ODFIs by defining and building an AML surveillance and sanctions
program in partnership with the compliance team.
• Drove strategic cross functional projects like enabling risk adjudication for higher traffic events like
Superbowl and migrating to a dedicated payment gateway with standin capabilities.
• Integrated risk vendors to enable agency collections , rules engine , graph DB and negative DB
which includes market research of vendors , contract and pricing negotiation and implementation.
• Increased operations team efficiencies up to 50% by implementing tools to automate workflows
which included differentiating first party fraud versus 3rd party fraud.
