• Tech Lead on the problem of WhatsApp Business Quality and defined focus areas for the team as we get WhatsApp to a world where users can have private, safe and high quality interactions with businesses.

• Worked on several 0 to 1 projects, established foundational pieces on classification, enforcement, education and tooling and built sub-teams to tackle these individual problem spaces.

• Identified and supported cross-org initiatives with > $1B revenue opportunities while holding the fort and championing world class user privacy.

• Lead Engineer on Quality Based Messaging (QBM) - a project where we opened up the WhatsApp Business API to unlock a fully conversational platform. This has resulted in numerous success stories, has fundamentally changed business messaging and opened up several product/revenue opportunities.

• Led workstreams to improve hiring across all of WhatsApp in order to attract top talent.

• Was the founding engineer of a team that revolutionized the way we build metrics in the Integrity space. I led several 0 to 1 projects in the space of Measurement, Experimentation & Investigation Tooling.

• Defined technical infrastructure and organizational structure of the team. Was pivotal in establishing team culture and setting direction for several years of growth. Was a pivotal part of growing the team from 2 individuals to a multi-disciplinary team ((SWE, DS, DE, PM, TPM)) of over 35 individuals.

• Lead Engineer on Integrity Unified Logging, a 0 to 1 project with impact across the organization. This project would eventually be the supporting pillar for CSER (Community Standards Enforcement Report) - establishing Facebook as a pioneer within the industry!

• Supported teams across Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp to oversee significant progress on several integrity problem areas - Spam, Nudity, Graphic Violence, Hate Speech and Terrorism amongst others.

• Built foundational pieces of the team’s Machine Learning platform to support the battle against Facebook spam.

• Launched state of the art integrity classifiers to achieve a 85% reduction in Group Spam - the largest spam surface.

• In addition to supporting interns, assisted in hiring and onboarded three different members onto the team.

• Was promoted twice in a year to become a senior software engineer - one of the fastest in the company’s history.
