As head of three-person team, unlocked $2 million+ in sales opportunities by expanding integrations to new CRM partners (Microsoft Dynamics, PDI). Worked closely with newly hired SRE to transition our build process to Github Actions and get more of our infra under IaC control using Terraform, and migrated our Kafka pipeline from self-hosted EC2 boxes to Amazon MSK, reducing critical infrastructure risk.

Took charge of the downstream integrations pipeline with customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce (using Apache Kafka), writing most of the internal code and managing outside contractors for integration-specific work on our CRM partners' platforms. Also spent six months before the 2020 election (a time of 10 million+ messages per day, 100x our regular traffic) stabilizing infrastructure and optimizing code to prevent outages.

Provided SaaS platform for political campaigns, non-profits and labor unions to keep in touch with their constituents through SMS and MMS texting, especially during the busy 2018 election. One early contribution I was proud of: I improved user privacy and reduced legal risk to California’s data-deletion law by designing and implementing a data-deletion system, using hashed PII to preserve the ability to recognize users who have opted themselves out of being texted.

Created admin interface for machine learning tool helping health care organizations hire the best talent. I was mostly responsible for the data pipelines to multiple integrations with clients' applicant tracking systems, from ETL to email reports to user-facing dashboards.

Contributed to multiple microservices and frontends in a polyglot environment, processing payments and managing subscriptions to premium offerings on SoundCloud’s audio platform. Highlight: Led the three-person team to create the front end for the subscription and account management system for SoundCloud Go+, a paid, ad-free consumer subscription product offering.
