Worked on the Core Services team

• Implemented tooling to analyze, transform and migrate all company databases from Postgres to CRDB.

• Formalized the process for executing database migrations with near-zero downtime.

• Architected solution for decoupling inefficient microservices, mitigating a liability that previously caused major outages.

Worked on the Media & AI team

• Built out an AI Platform to stream and parse video into an AI Engine during a live video stream.

• Maintained existing media infrastructure for millions of cameras.

• Worked on a team of two where I had significant input on the design and implementation of NodeJS and Python services.

Worked on the Camera Cloud team

• Built a new camera infrastructure, while simultaneously monitoring and maintaining legacy services. Services are used by over 1,000,000 subscribers.

• Developed a NodeJS microservice for downloading and previewing video using Kinesis Video Streams.

• Developed a NodeJS microservice and Vue UI for preserving large sets of video data for legal purposes.

• Architected solution for extracting OTA logic out of monolithic legacy service and into a microservice.

• Coded functionality in Typescript for handling events in databases; sharing videos; streaming live video.

• Participated in on-call rotations to ensure that production issues are dealt with promptly.

Worked on the Platform team

• Implemented functionality to stream videos into S3 so users can share videos for marketing purposes; Shipped feature to over 1,000,000 subscribers; Built supporting UI for securely accessing videos.

• Developed and deployed dockerized NodeJS microservice in AWS that tracks metrics on fulfillment center processes.
