After a 1-year stint providing maternity leave cover for our team lead, I was entrusted with the permanent role of managing my own tight-knit group of designers. Here are some of the responsibilities my new role entails.

• Managing the design output of 5-6 individual designers

• Organizing weekly 1:1 sessions with each team member

• Facilitating the weekly design feedback roundtable meeting

• Steering overall design strategy with other team leads

• Partaking in key hiring decisions and interviews

• Collaborating on hosting our yearly George UXConf

• Keeping my individual contributor duties on track at George Invest

In addition to my previous role, my responsibilities as a Lead expanded as follows:

• Leading our prototyping efforts as an individual contributor (IC) by creating interactive components, mentoring designers and organizing workshops.

• This position did not include people management.

My work at one of Central Eastern Europe’s biggest banking groups is seen by over 10 million users across 6 different countries. I contribute to multi-disciplinary product teams creating George, Erste Bank’s online banking application.

• Designing a multitude of features for the iOS, Android and web apps

• Specifying components for our design systems, including their design counterparts in Figma

• Collaborating in multiple product teams (Cards, Products, Investments) with POs, analysts, and engineers

• Proactively taking part in the strong feedback culture of the design chapter consisting of more than 20 designers and researchers

At this online marketplace startup I worked with a strong focus on SEO, data-driven design, A/B testing and usability. I collaborated closely with designers, product managers and developers during the design process.

• Managed atomic design system via Sketch Libraries + InVision.

• My new onboarding flow for acquiring new operators resulted 
in a 413% increase in sign-ups.

• Redesigned operator dashboard based on a React framework.

• Completely revamped the review process with simplicity in mind.

• Created interactive documentation in Confluence for the team.

Working at VICE’s in-house agency VIRTUE, I collaborated with big brands such as ING-DiBa, Drei, BMW, Almdudler, Heineken, Garnier and many others. I delivered solutions under tight deadlines for pitches, product launches and campaigns.

I improved ING-DiBa’s user experience by refining their online banking platform, ranging from responsive web design to native mobile design in their iOS and Android apps. During this work I adhered to ING’s atomic design corporate guidelines, and created not only aesthetically pleasing, but highly functional user interfaces. I communicated ideas via scribbles and wireframes, and delivered pixel-perfect assets crafted in Sketch and Photoshop.

A few of my other accomplishments at VICE:

• Drei: Designed the responsive navigation for an e-commerce shop launch.

• BMW: Finalized mockups for a microsite and created InVision prototypes.

• Almdudler: Delivered an interactive prototype for web mockups that helped us win the pitch by giving our client a hands-on tablet experience.

• Garnier: Set up a local WordPress instance with a custom template for a content hub.

• Heineken:Created wireframes for an international campaign, taking into account the needs of mobile and desktop users.
