Now a full-time engineer on IBM’s z/OS Language Environment team, I’ve taken on greater responsibility across both function testing and infrastructure development. My testing scope has expanded to cover larger, more complex components of the system, and I continue to contribute to the secure document lifecycle project with increased autonomy—now actively participating in code reviews, pair programming, and onboarding efforts for new team members.

I support teammates with their test initiatives, help enhance automation toolkits used in our test environments, and contribute to the evolution of our internal testing workflows. Additionally, I’m deepening my understanding of the Language Environment regression suite and the underlying system components, steadily building a broader perspective of the platform and its infrastructure.

I continue to grow by learning from senior team members and honing my skills in developing within a professional, collaborative environment.

Worked 10–20 hours per week during my senior year as a backend developer on an IBM inner-source project for secure document lifecycle management. The application—built with React, Next.js, CouchDB, and Jenkins—served as a professional introduction to scalable web development, CI/CD pipelines, and structured unit testing. I collaborated with and learned from senior technical staff, deepening my understanding of best practices in software design, devOps, and team-based development while steadily increasing my independence and technical ownership.

Worked as a function tester on IBM’s z/OS Language Environment team, testing core LE functions and debugging existing regression test suites. This role provided a deep dive into the z/OS mainframe operating system—an entirely new environment for me—and helped strengthen my understanding of operating systems, system-level debugging, and computer architecture fundamentals.

Mentored courses Data Structures and Computer Science 1, assisting students in Python and C++ as well as foundational computer science concepts. Assisted professors and TA's with lab periods, office hours and grading.
