This role focused on 3rd party interoperability of Mindray’s devices.
• Acted as technical lead for development of Mindray’s server based HL7 gateway product for bridging monitoring devices to a hospital's data systems. The eGateway uses IHE profiles for standards based interfacing in additional to having outputs that can be customized based on a customer's needs.
• Defined Mindray's device HL7 outputs for 3rd party interfacing. Interfaces included: ADT, results, alarms and waveforms.
• Managed and participated in Mindray's presence at multiple IHE North American Connectathons.
• Managed and participated in Mindray's presence at multiple HIMSS Interoperability Showcases.
• Acted as Mindray's representative to the IHE PCD domain and the Center for Medical Interoperability (CMI).
• Developed testing and engineering utilities in C# and WPF.
• Architected concept for Mindray’s next generation monitoring system network. Developed protocols for network communication over TCP/IP using TCP, UDP, and multicasting. The system was designed to automatically detect new devices added to the network with minimal individual device configuration.
• Advised Chinese engineering team on Cybersecurity.
