Led a distributed team of front-end engineers to architect and deliver Slack's Work Objects platform, managing cross-timezone collaboration and technical execution to create rich preview experiences that transform how teams interact with third-party data by providing interactive unfurls for enterprise tools like JIRA, Google Drive, and Salesforce that provide contextual snapshots and enable lightweight actions without leaving Slack, while driving the project from prototype through general availability.

Architected and led the technical migration of Slack's Workflow Builder from a standalone application into the core Slack platform, eliminating performance bottlenecks and unlocking AI integration capabilities—a complex full-stack engineering initiative involving Redux store restructuring, cross-window state management, and comprehensive UI component refactoring that directly enabled new product opportunities.

As Team Lead of the Anthos Service Mesh UI, I work across numerous engineering teams across Google Cloud to craft solutions that save our customers from the toil and difficulty of managing micro-service architectures at massive scale. Our platform makes it easy to monitor, secure, and operate web services wherever they are deployed.

Joined Arivale (a pioneering startup in scientific wellness and GeekWire's 2016 Startup of the Year) as engineer #6, and helped it to triple in size in two years and transform the health of thousands of people. Lead projects throughout the stack (React, React Native, Python, PostgreSQL, Angular), including:

• Lead developer of our React Native app, which empowers our members by putting their health coach and all of their health data in the palm of their hand.

• Owned the technical design and implementation of dozens of features on our responsive and engaging web dashboard, focused on empowering our users to glean insights from a large and complex collection of personal health information.

• Back-end systems to automate mission-critical work around managing and monitoring the capacity of our army of amazing wellness coaches.

• An intuitive UI for staff to construct scientific and wellness-centered assessments, and a fast and approachable UI for users to take them and review them with their coach. Built and deployed v1 in two weeks, replacing a third-party vendor that would have cost the company over $100k/year

Owned and implemented features throughout the stack for GameChanger (an amateur sports focused start-up recently acquired by Dick's Sporting Goods) of a website and iOS app that provides professional-level stat tracking for over 100,000 active amateur sports teams, with a commitment to rapid iteration, continuous deployment, small batches, and numerous other impressive buzzwords.
