Led the migration of shopify.com from a Rails app to a Remix worker on Cloudflare. Led the migration of help.shopify.com from a Rails app/backend to a Remix app featuring an AI-powered chatbot that communicates over SSE and WebSockets. Migrated the Help Center’s async communication platform from a React on Rails app to a Remix app powered by GraphQL. Refactored the agent application used by BPO partners to use LLMs, WebSockets, SSE, and GraphQL to power real-time conversations with merchants. Used agentic tools to lead P0 redesigns of Help Center and Shop homepages with compressed timelines and lean teams. Currently: member of hand-selected team of top performers who are using AI superpowers to deliver P0 projects at a rapid pace while raising the bar for quality across all orgs at Shopify.

I work on the Web Platforms team where I am currently developing a training program for current and future employees to be successful engineers at The New York Times. I also oversee how we use and upgrade React and GraphQL libraries, sometimes forking open source projects that have become dormant and developing new projects to serve our enterprise needs.

Wrote the live-coverage platform used by the newsroom for breaking news/live events/awards shows. Architected the NYT Global platform on WordPress for the launch of NYT Espanol.
