Working on developing the API for GoNation which is used to power both the website and mobile app. Software is developed in Scala using Akka-Http and leveraging AWS. GoNation is transforming how people can discover locally and allowing businesses to promote to their surrounding areas.

Serve as technical lead on the retail integrations team, which integrates the retail side of Gopuff (Bevmo, etc.) with the e-commerce side. Reverse-engineered the legacy system to build out very detailed documentation on how the system works. System consists of many Azure function apps (Typescript) and “no-code” data factories. Fixed several issues that affected product mappings, inventory counts, and others. Designed a new system to replace the legacy system using Kubernetes micro services built in Go using PSQL, Kafka, and redis.

Worked on the User data ingestion team that built and handled all of Iterable's customer data at scale. Architecture consisted of a Scala application reading from Kafka and writing to ElasticSearch.

Transitioned to a new team working on infrastructure around queueing technologies. Helped drive the migration of our legacy RMQ nodes to use Apache Pulsar.

Working on Estimize's main software application across the entire stack. Main application is in Ruby on Rails, with other projects based in Scala and Python. Working on fixing application bugs, and adding features to the main app including adding functionality to the API, making the estimize data easier to work with, and incorporating a new data provider.
