Helped ship 2 major features shaping the future of the iOS multilingual user experience.
Collaborated extensively with various teams spread around different organizations to collect and centralize on-device signals from sources such as Safari, Messages, Voicemail, Settings, and various Apple Services (Music, Podcasts, TV, Books) into a knowledge graph processing pipeline.
Made various fixes to improve language detection, scoring and confidence determination algorithms, localization daemons, and created foundational infrastructure for sources to donate their language consumption (including 3rd party integrations).
Also assisted in the shipping and development of a bilingual arabizi latin to arabic script transliteration keyboard, assisting with model training and data cleaning/augmentation/generation pipelines
