My responsibilities included:

• Analyzing business models, intellectual property portfolios, and competitive landscapes of novel biotechnology, therapeutic, and medical device companies and innovative technology and software startups. This included evaluating the efficacy of treatments for diseases spanning Alzheimer's, diabetes, and oncology and also determining the novelty and market necessity for software companies.

• Performing market size and pro-forma revenue calculations to determine potential exit outcomes and return on investment

I researched metabolic pathways of pancreatic tumor cells and their effect on pancreatic stellate cells and the tumor microenvironment. I studied the effect of pancreatic cell activation and the influence of activated and quiescent stellate cells. I also tested the efficacy of treatments using gene expression data and comparison of glucose, lactate, and protein assay data between normal and tumor associated stellate cells.
