In the Search team, I delivered a rich search experience where I:
• kept latency low by considering trade-offs in implementation options while supporting
40,000 requests per second
• implemented a data refinement step in Python to uphold a high standard of data
quality
• contributed new features following an "away team" model, gathering requirements from
partner teams.
Later, when working with Whole Foods, I completed an end-to-end migration of a Java/
Sprint Boot web service into AWS where I:
• documented my design choices including trade-offs considered and supporting factors
• containerized our app and used ECS for compute, VPC Private Links for connectivity
to other dependencies, S3, CloudWatch, and DynamoDB
• utilized CDK in TypeScript to model infrastructure in code
• completed security and architecture review for the application
• implemented build automation and CI/CD in the new platform
• improved unit test coverage.
