• Created and now lead MLB’s accessibility engineering squad, directly mentoring engineers across iOS, Android, + web while partnering with product and design to deliver inclusive fan experiences impacting 8M+ DAUs.
• Serve as hybrid engineering manager, product owner, + SME, balancing technical feasibility, user-centered design, and business objectives.
• Translate business and fan needs into architecturally sound technical solutions and see them through development, review, test, + release.
• Own the hiring cycle for the squad: define role requirements, review resumes, conduct interviews, and select high-performing candidates that fit our culture.
• Set vision, roadmap, and success metrics (OKRs/ KPIs).
• Manage multiple external vendors; maintain positive relationships that yield results.
• Facilitate executive-level buy-in on accessibility risk, strategy, and delivery.
• Present regularly at executive and legal reviews, aligning technical goals with MLB’s broader UX and business strategy.
• Direct the development of first-of-their-kind accessibility features across MLB’s digital platforms, setting new industry benchmarks.
• Cultivate a culture of accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion through org-wide training, mentorship, and standards-setting.
• Work directly with disabled baseball fans to conduct UX research and deliver products that meet their needs.
