• Maintain, expand, and improve multiple backend and frontend repositories supporting our laboratory information management system (LIMS) in Python, React, Node, Java, SQL, Docker, and Jenkins
• Developing robust software tools and reusable data models aiding 400+ scientists with building, analyzing, and testing biological processes and organisms
• Modifying existing software tools to work with new biological workflows and organisms
• Developing and maintaining software that tracks thousands of newly built strains and their lineage through testing and analysis
• Translating scientist needs for tracing strain lineage into an ad-hoc tool that queries our existing API endpoints to retrieve previously created strains as opposed to redundantly creating existing strains.
• Updating our existing user interface in React to allow scientists to better identify strain lineage and usage
• Updating production software to fix bugs and keep up with changing needs
