I'm an engineer on the Money team at Coast, a team uniquely positioned between our product and platform.

Mobile Experience (Platform)

Specced and implemented full stack overhaul of Go infrastructure for sending outage banners to 800K+ users of Samsara’s React Native apps across 3 continents. Worked across product, design, and engineering teams as part of a broader effort to unify mobile and web infrastructure.

Implemented web backend during company hackathon to allow internal users to trigger mobile builds via UI.

Monitored App Store and Play Store rollouts during on-call shifts. Mentored junior engineers.

Core Product

Implemented and specced GraphQL/TypeScript/Node.js/PostgreSQL backend for a version control system for a legacy ordering workflow that affects 100% of customers using the Kojo product. Coordinated with design, product, and engineers from project inception to completion.

Implemented React frontend for greenfield sourcing workflow. Worked with design and product to iterate quickly on requirements. Iterated upon and rolled out feature within 4 weeks.

Implemented GraphQL API and business logic for Node.js backend that parses customer invoices using Microsoft Azure’s Form Recognizer to extract pricing and item data. Saved customers, on average, 4 hours of manual data entry.

Assisted senior engineer in refactoring frontend components of React Native mobile app and React.js web application for company rebrand. Redesigned search experience on mobile app to condense search results into one page to improve app

usability. Scraped distributor websites to ingest mechanical catalog data into Elasticsearch database.

Interviewed and onboarded staff and senior level engineers. Led engineering interview guild - saw the team grow from 11 to 30. Improved and led sprint retro. Received company value award for ”Intentional Communication”.

Taught 50 minute weekly discussions that reinforced lecture material and concepts, including functional programming in OCaml, and finite automata.

Led office hours, and collaborated with professors and peers to write projects, tests, and quizzes based on subject material.

Data Engineering and Internal Products

Designed and implemented a view switcher and team-based view layouts and components for Clever’s primary internal site, which is used by all employees.

Owned full-stack, end to end implementation. Implemented backend endpoint in Golang to write to DynamoDB, and implemented frontend using TypeScript/JavaScript/React.

Implemented technical framework for future customizations to internal site. Shipped project during internship. Extensively worked across teams to rapidly iterate based on feedback.
