Developed Software Development Kit (SDK) for the PayPal API in different languages (Java, Ruby on Rails, PHP,.NET, ColdFusion, ASP, etc..) to mask the integration complexities of merchants and developers. The SDKs developed were used by large merchants of PayPal and are available for developers in PayPal’s developer community x.com.
Responsibilities:
• Understand the functional specifications provided by client and develop SDKs and code samples for PayPal APIs in Ruby on Rails, PHP, ASP, ColdFusion and maintain SDKs in ASP.Net and Java.
• Migrating Ruby on Rails SDK from version 1.3 to 3.0.
• As the team followed Agile Methodology actively participate in sprint planning for estimating the stories, create stories and tasks.
• Give demo on the stories to the team member and the product owner at the end of every sprint.
• Actively participating on PayPal’s developer community x.com and assist the developers in integrating PayPal APIs. Report about live bugs from API side to the API team and fix the SDK bugs reported by any developer in the forum.
Achievements:
• Participated in Innovation Contest like Hackathone and Labrats conducted by PayPal every year and got awarded in the year 2010.
• Contributed for open source community Github on ActiveMerchant library, this library is used in most modern ruby applications that deal with financial transactions. This integrates seamlessly as a plug-in but it also works excellently as a standalone library .Worked on updating the existing library to add modules that supports some of the latest PayPal APIs.
