• Migrate all the mainframe source code from CA Endevor to Bitbucket by implementing Rocket Software's Git for z/OS client in USS to communicate the remote Git server through SSH from z/OS.

• Build the post processor scripts in z/OS to convey the source objects between the Git server (Linux), thru USS and z/OS to allow developers to work their projects on z/OS ISPF seamlessly.

• Automated the build process to manage the z/OS source code, testing libraries and PTFs through REXX and SMP/E.

• Researching DevOps operation to promote the build process and QA testing.

• Designed and implemented an automated build SMP/E PTF (Program Temporary Fix) system for Syncsort MFX and Ironstream by utilizing API calls to collect CSECT//MOD/LMOD/SYSMOD information from the SMP/E master CSI. Built recommended SMP/E MCS PRE(prerequisites)/SUP(supersede) PTF lists and created testing libraries from z/OS OBJ modules. Built accumulative PTF prerequisites to satisfy the sophisticated maintenance process. Auto generated emails notification to finalize the prepared PTFs through CSSMTP. Reduced the manual intervention turnaround time by 95%.

• Created and maintained Splunk Apps to monitor real time/historical system sort activities with ingested data from mainframe to the Splunk index servers through TCP/IP ports. The Apps will offer snapshots of the system resource utilization, ie, CPU/Memory/zIIP/Elapsed time, and drill down the executed job's performance measurement on specific time of day dynamically.

• Installed and managed multiple releases of DB2 for z/OS as role of DBA. Monitoring DB2 daily operations. Configured DB2 for z/OS for client/server infrastructure by using ODBC/JDBC connection from open source systems. Setup variety testing environments for DMXExpress/DMXCDC with different code pages.

• Configured CDC products to convey mainframe DB2 transactions to the open source systems from IBM z13. Issue DB2 monitor trace to allow CDC to access DB2 for z/OS archive logs through IFCID reader API.

• Configured IBM Sterling Connect Direct (NDM) and Secure+ features. Using OpenSSL to create digital certificates (COA/Server certificates) and plug-in to the RACF key ring database. Built user configurable SSL connection through variety encryption algorithms.

• Using SAS to analyze mainframe SMF records to identify LPARs resource utilization and CPU usage per DB2/CICS/IMS/Sort application. Created a ROI calculator for yearly CPU consumption projection.
