I was part of NFS protocol and performance team. As a part of performance team, I was involved in identifying the bottlenecks on nfs server side and fixing those bottlenecks. Also, involved in analyzing and fixing kernel NFS V3/V4 protocol customer bugs and ADE (HPE proprietary filesystem) bugs.

As a part of POC, I was involved in identifying bottlenecks, improving the performance and stability of nfs-ganesha and its rpc layer (Sun tirpc library). Also, modified VFS FSAL in nfs-ganesha to support ADE storage access on Centos 6.x & 7.x kernel.

As a part of this project, I Implemented C based Casandra client application for storing metadata information of myDFS. And, wrote a new FSAL (File System abstraction Layer) in nfs-ganesha (an open source user-mode NFS file server) to support myDFS access by both NFS V3/V4 clients. I was also involved in filesystem bug finding and bug fixing task to improve the code quality.

Did a small POC on data-aware storage using Solr – an open source search engine platform for real-time analytics.
