Between switching jobs, whilst waiting for my work visa approval, we conceptualised, built this space from ground up and started operations in less than 12 weeks. It was bootstrapped and involved planning, procuring permissions, liaising with multiple vendors and authorities, setting up and automating processes, creating feedback loops, brand identity creation and launching the service.
South Mumbai is one of the world’s most densely populated localities with a severe lack of open-to-sky venues for recreation. Bombay Recreation Co. was born out of this need for a versatile venue which the local communities could utilise for multiple use cases.
Our customers include people of all ages and from all walks of life. Some use it for day to day activities like coaching classes, art workshops and physical fitness whereas some utilise the space for their special moments such as private events, screenings and even photo shoots.
• October 2021 - I exit from my role at Zomato and wait for my Irish work visa approval

• January 2022 - We open doors to the public!

• Consulted to my portfolio of vendors who collectively generate INR 2.8 million+ monthly GMV, by analyzing their listing hygiene, content quality and performance on the platform to ameliorate them
• Accelerated banner ad and search ad sales by exceeding MoM targets (INR 450,000+ p.m.)
• Invented “TJ’s Ad performance tool” on Google Sheets to create periodic reports for calculating the ROI on ad-spend and leveraging it to further renew, up-sell and cross-sell ad products
• Invented "TJ's Co-funding exposition tool" to reveal competitor's funding proportions for brands' promotional discounts on their platform
• Anticipated market trends to design campaigns & promotional strategies as well as curating menu flows and categories to implement in-app SEO strategies that increase conversion & order volumes
• Excelled in multiple ad-hoc projects running concurrently while leading key projects for the team as the DRI
• Onboarded new clients and partners on the online ordering platform and also onto Asia’s largest restaurant loyalty membership program: Zomato Pro (More than 30 brands in 90 days)
• Troubleshooted on a daily basis for existing clientele while also monitoring key business metrics
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to improve UX (Legal compliance, FSSAI compliance, safety norms, Tax compliance, etcetera)
